From the Classroom to the School Board.
Ashley Figueiredo has spent her career in tricounty schools as a teacher, a parent, and a neighbor. Now she is ready to serve at the board level.
A Candidate Rooted in This Community
Ashley Figueiredo grew up understanding the value of a good education. She chose to build her career as an educator because she believes in this community: its families, its teachers, and its potential.
As a classroom teacher, Ashley saw firsthand what happens when students feel supported and what happens when they don't. She watched talented colleagues leave the profession because the conditions weren't sustainable. She sat across from parents who felt unheard and students who fell through the cracks.
Those experiences were discouraging enough to motivate her to run for BCSD District 6. Running for the District 6 school board seat is the natural next step in a life spent advocating for kids.
