What I Stand For
Every decision I make on the school board will be guided by one question: what is best for our students?
Teacher Retention
We can't give students the education they deserve if we can't keep good teachers in our classrooms. I'll fight for competitive pay, better support systems, and working conditions that make teachers across the district want to stay in BCSD. Great teachers don't just teach. They inspire, mentor, and change lives. Keeping them here has to be a priority.
Advocating for All Students
Every child in this district deserves a voice and a fair shot, regardless of their background or zip code. When students feel seen, valued, and safe at school, something powerful happens: they show up more fully, engage more deeply, and learn more effectively. Research backs this up, teachers and parents already knows it to be true. A child who feels like they belong in their classroom is a child who is ready to grow. I'll advocate for the programs, policies, and school culture that make every student in BCSD feel like they matter, because they do.
Holding Leadership Accountable
Decisions that affect our kids and our schools need transparency, not just talking points. I'll push for open processes, honest communication, and real accountability at every level of district and school leadership. That means asking hard questions in public meetings, demanding clear answers on how taxpayer dollars are spent, and making sure the board's decisions reflect the needs of students and families, not just the preferences of administrators. Accountability isn't adversarial. It's how trust gets built.
Giving Parents a Voice
Parents are partners in education, not outsiders. Too often, families feel shut out of the decisions that shape their children's school experience. I'll make sure your concerns are heard at the board table, not just acknowledged, but acted on. When parents are engaged, students thrive. I'll push for regular community forums, transparent communication from district leadership, and a board culture that welcomes your voice instead of dismissing it.
